Noses take awhile. My nose ring was pulled out by my puppy, she got the ring stuck around one of her teeth. It didn't rip a the way, but before the ring pulled open it did tear a little.
After about a month it should be healed shut, it's not ready for re-piercing yet.
At this point you can feel a knot of scare tissue were the hole was. Every chance you get, when you're alone if you can't handle the staring, roll that knot between your index finger and thumb. Slowly the scare tissue will break up. When it's gone completely you may pierce.
So, I know this is not what you want to hear, but, I'm estimating 3 months- maybe longer, just to be sure. You don't want to pierce scare tissue.
You might always have what looks like the first hole, but it doesn't go very deep, But I don't know for sure, because it was fresh.
Your piercer should have marked your nose in ink first, so you can find a placement you like. If they don't, ask them to.
Sorry 'bout your luck, dude. Better luck next time.

Even though the piercing won't be in the same spot you should wait at least 3 months to ensure the old hole has closed up and are no longer at risk for an infection.

While the hole is closing, keep the area clean and take care of it, its still a wound.

Wait about 4-6 weeks for it to heal up, then you should have no problem getting it pierced again. Continue doing sea salt soaks untill it's closed up, it will help with the healing.

When your artist marks you, make sure you like the positioning, if you don't, just tell them. We don't get offended :)

even in spite of the undeniable certainty that the piercing won't in any appreciate be indoors the comparable spot you're able to attend a minimum of three months to envision the previous hollow has closed up and are not any added in danger for an infection. mutually because of the fact the hollow is maximum suitable, save the section sparkling and guard it, its whether a wound.

your first mistake was taking it out.
if it gets infected while its closing up (or if it already is)
then it will close up around the infection then the infection will spread and lets jut say thats bad.
also its going to turn into scar tissue and it hurts like hell to get a piercing over scar tissue (believe me i have alot of piercings)
even though you will get it lower then the last time it will probably still hit scar tissue.
you're probably going to want to wait a few months for it to heal all the way or your nose is going to be very sore. lol
but anyways better luck next time.

I'd say about a month, just to make sure you don't catch or rip the skin if you get it pierced again

First of all, piercing your nose is not stylish & attractive not to offend you, but I think you should wait to pierce your nose again in about a year. Thats how long I waited to pierce my ears again because I didn't like where they pierced them.
