If you have no drivers license, you do not need to have a car. In my state, the insurance office requires a copy of my drivers license before they issue insurance. Got hit one time by a guy who had no license, no insurance,( he was drunk too) lost my job because I could not work for five months, lost my truck because he was at fault and had no insurance and totaled my truck out. Got ANY idea how much that cost ME? People without license and or insurance really anger me! I did get a judgement against him, BUT, his WIFE owns everything, and I could not, nor cannot recoupe any part of my loss.

I don't believe you will be able to get insurance without a driver license, they would question the whole point of it, being you shouldn't be driving a car without a license, so why do you need to tag it. You can register a vehicle in your name, however, for insurance reasons, you would need to state the car was not driven/driveable, and the registration would require an inspection if you went that way. I do not think you will be able to tag it if insurance is required in your state.

Do you have a permit at least? I dont think you need a drivers license to register a vehicle but for insurance if you have a permit, then Progressive.com would be a good place to get insurance. If you are unlicensed then you want to look for a company that insures the car and not the driver. Some companies insure the driver and some insure both driver and car.

Well, first of all - who is the car registered too? If you are the registered person then you can get the tags and registration for your car. You will need a proof of insurance if you don't have any now. I think the car insurance company does need a valid driver's license. Why can't you get a driver's license?

The insurance company will want to see your drivers license also in addition to the bureau of motor vehicles to purchase a tag .

I don't think you need a driver's license to own a car...just make sure there are tags and insurance. You should be able to insure a car with no driver's license...make sure you don't drive it!

That can be a problem. You need a license to get insurance and insurance to register a car in most states.

Not with out a license...you need to get one..if you are caught driving with out it you WILL lose the right to get one. Why don't you just go get it? In the mean time maybe a parent will register and insure the car..but again with out the DL there is no sense driving it.

Now if its a matter of you have lost your license and need to register your car...let me tell ya matters will only get worse it you don't resolve the matter as soon as possible.
Good Luck

she gets in a carload of worry. She needs to pass to the motorcar branch and get the final tags. In some states she would be fined, and lose her drivers license. some insurance companies will drop you for this way of violation. they're going to discover out because of the fact they get comments from the motorcar branch. She needs to get this corrected.
