i don't think he wants her back as he left her and she would take him back in a heart beat.they do share a young child together so this maybe part of it. he tells me all the time how awful and controlling she was to him thats why he left but he still allows her to call the shots.why?its like thier still married just not living together and i'm the 3rd wheel.he seems more conserned about what she thinks/feels than me.

they both have joint custody of thier son so she can't threaten to take him away.he not afraid of that

No matter what your the NEW partner. If he can't see that you come first and NOT her then you have a lot of thinking to do..Now as for the child ,that's he's baby ,We got that understood #1 B4 both of you.My husband has never ever placed his other baby mama B4 me.I would be so gone..having a child with some one is a big thing,Yet having that concern for her and her feeling's toward out of the child's name is not good for you and your feeling's. Good luck honey and think of how you are being hurt with the action's he's applying towards her and NOT you.I really think he has feeling's for her not matter how controlling she was/is.He can be missing her...

Welcome to step-family relationships.
Why would you want to get into this situation for the rest of your life?
He already told you that she was controlling.
Do you really think she'll ever give you a moment's peace? Especially since you will be step-mother to her child?
Run away, he's going to make you miserable for the rest of your life.
Look at how many relationships in our society have broken down. Most of them were due to situations just like this. Right? So, that's your clue.
Get out of there.
