My hair id breaking off only at the crown and it's irritating. When I was using Garnier Long and Strong there were no problems but since i hadn't had the money to buy it, i had to use VO5 Tea therapy. I hear that i shouldnt use pantene because it has wax..or something like that. But i would like to try their relaxed and natural breakage defense. What other shampoos help hair breakage from happening?Thank you.

I usually dont wear rubber bands and i only get perms twice a year so its not that. Somthing else is making my hair break off. Its not dry because i have very oily hair naturally.

Make sure you have good nutrition. Stress and medical problems can cause hair problems so I suggest seeing your doctor. Mmm

hair products stopping breakage is a myth. really, i'm serious. hair is nothing but dead protiens. If you look on the ingredients panel of a shampoo bottle, you will see almost identical ingredients on every bottle. It's glorified soap. if your hair is breaking, you are probably washing it too often, or growing it too long. Go for a hair trim to cut off the split ends. Try shampooing your hair every other day, so when you take a shower, condition it every day, but shampoo it every other day. this way, your hair will retain it's natural oils and prevent breakage naturally. You may also want to refrain from blow drying or straigtening too often. That can seriously damage your hair. If you love the straight and sexy look, try air drying your hair for an hour then blow drying it on low heat from at least a foot away.

Focus on The conditioner you are using, I would recomend really heavey moisturizing conditioners Try Biolage Hydratherape conditioning balm you can buy it at target, and use a hydratherapie shampoo. Also look for "hask shine spray" it seems slightly oily, but its a great prtector for your hair. Also try using a hair Serum.

for an at home solution mix one egg with olive oil and put it on your hair abd leave it for 15 minutes and then rinse with cold water, make sure the water is cold, or you will have scrambled eggs in your hair. The egss replace some of the protein in your hair which prevents breakage, and the oil moisturizes....

GOOD LUCK GIRL! :)

i just tried that relaxed and natural breakage defense hair mask a week ago..its okay but i still feel like it 'coats' my hair more than it conditions it.

i find success when i use a hot olive oil treatment on my hair atleast once every two weeks. also, you should try biolage's hydratherapy conditioning cream. its AMAZING! its about 10 bucks. its soooo hydrating! i leave it on for a good hour or so and it leaves my hair sooo soft. i have natural hair and it hydrates my hair sooo well, if you have relaxed ..im sure you should have even better success.

also, remember not to comb your hair a lot when its dry or pull it back in ponytails, or use harsh scarves when you wrap your hair up at night. becareful. also, make sure you are getting regular trims on your hair - atleast every 6 to 8 weeks.

oooh..and also ellen lavir has a great nourishing oil that i just massage into my temples (it just takes a little) while i watch tv or something at night, just to massage my scalp. this helps you not break off hair at the crown.

good luck! you'll love those two products. ;)

If you have a perm that could be the problem, not the shampoo, or if you have your hair up too tight. If you have a perm, you might want to try the mild perm. That's what I have and when I was little and had the full power perm, my hair was unbelievably thin and kept breaking off.

If I were you I'd see a specialist. Sounds like you must constantly have a thick conditioner on it. Might need one of those $15 conditioning treatments at the hair salon. They also massage your face, hands and neck with that.

kera care's line of products...and/or Organics hair mayonnaise(moisturizer & shampoo)...
those are really good....and if you pull your hair back alot...stop... your hairline will recede...and also if you wear head bands...be careful
plus what the first girl said...plus treatment...the hair mayonaise that I mentioned can also be used for that...after you wash your hair you put it in your hair all over put a cap on...and sit under the dryer for 15minutes...if you don't have dryer it will take longer...
you should also purchase a hair magazine now the ones with different hair styles...the ones that focus on taking care of your hair

Baby shampoos are your secret weapon. They’re gentle enough to wash your hair, but they also break down all the residue that’s piled onto your hair.
