Check to see if he has any friends in 1st period. If he does than see if they are in 2nd period too. If there in 1st period but not in 2nd period he could just be trying to show off in front of his friends but really does like you.

It doesn't sound like this guy you're talking about likes you. Usually how you can tell is if they flirt w/you more than other girls, if they stare at you, and if they stand by you or are always somewhere near you.
