I'm doing a modeling audition and for the screentest portion, I need a monologue. I was lloking for something a bit funny and it must be modern. If it's not funny that's fine. I just need something quick so I can begin practicing.

If you want a dramatic monologue do this one..
My father died this morning... I was in the middle of watching tv when my mom told me. She said I could finish watching my program... but then I had to go in the living room and cry with her and my sister. See the thing is, I didn't want him to get better. He was a much nicer person when he was sick. He didn't have the strength to hit me. And he hardly yelled anymore. (pause) When he was sent home from the hospital there were oxygen tanks and syringes all over the house. So my mom had to send him back. I felt really bad for a long time, because the worse he became, the happier I did. I sometimes, I sometimes even laughed, because I knew, that I could look into his eyes, and I could see that he was afraid. You know, I really loved him a lot. Everytime he was hitting me I said to myself, "after this everything will be ok." but it never was. You know, I bet he really loved me to. He just didn't know how to show it.

Good teen monologues are so hard to find, huh? anyway, I had the same problem and I found this web page

the one I used for my last audition was Kim Kutledge from Dark Matter
I sugest searching on Google or Yahoo, time consuming and you get alot of junk, but you come across some good stuff!
