Christians believe Christ is the son of God, Jews believe that he is either mere man or a prophet
WITH that there are dozens of sub beliefs. They're difficult to list because different sects of Judism have different beliefs, and different sects of Christianity have different beliefs. Some of the main ones would be:
-Jews shouldn't eat pork
-Christians believe in the Trinity (Father (God), Son (Jesus), Holy Spirit)
-Christians celebrate Easter and Christmas as holy days
-Jews celebrate Passover, Chaunekah (sp?), etc as holy days

The Jewish faith follows the Torah, the Nevi'im and the Ketuvim, which makes up their body of scriptures, stated as the Tanakh. Theologically, the distinction is that Jews are meant to stay with Jewish regulation and are waiting for a Messiah, while Christians trust Jesus replaced into the Messiah and through Jesus the former testomony guidelines were fulfilled so they do no longer might want to do them anymore. those are the books of the Tanakh so as. Torah...Genesis Exodus Leviticus Numbers Deuteronomy Nevi'im...Joshua Judges Samuel Kings Isaiah Jeremiah Ezekial Hosea Joel Amos Obadiah Jonah Micah Nahum Habakkuk Zephaniah Haggai Zecariah Malachi Ketuvim...Psalms Proverbs job music of Solomon Ruth Lamentations Ecclesiastes Esther Daniel Ezra-Nehemiah Chronicles that is a similar because the Christian OT, Christians have merely positioned them in a distinct order and cut up different books into 2.

One difference is that Jews really don't think about the after-life much at all. They concentrate on this life. The after-life is never mentioned in the Torah (the first five books of the Old Testament).
Members of "Jews for Jesus" are not Jews. In Judaism, there are specific conditions necessary for the coming of the messiah, and those conditions have not yet occurred. So if you believe Jesus is divine, then you are not Jewish. A rabbi could explain what those conditions are (I don't know what the conditions are, but then, I'm not Jewish, and I'm not a Christian).

The Jewish people are still waiting for their Messiah, Saviour, to come to them and deliver them from oppression and rule over them. Christians believe that the Messiah has come, in the person of Jesus of Nazareth as found in the New Testament, and already declared the kingdom of God on earth over all of humanity, not just the Jews. They both believe in the existence of the same God, but Christians believe that He has personage, three forms (Father, Son and Holy Spirit) which have been attested to in both the Old and New Testaments, while Jews see Him simply as entirely one in all aspects.

everything really - but here's some of the big differences:
judaism is action based and christianity is faith based. (you can be agnostic or even atheist and still be a good jew, but in christianity, you can be a good person but not be a christian unless you believe in jesus in a certain way.)
judaism is based on how to live this life well, christianity is about rewards in the afterlife. all jews are basically agnostic when it comes to the afterlife, because no one really knows what happens.
judaism only claims to be the right spiritual path for jews or converts to judaism. christianity promotes itself as the universal one way for everyone.
judaism is a partnership with god, it is our responsibility to make the world more just. christianity is about accepting the will of god even when things aren't fair.
one more - there is no proselytizing (witnessing ) in judaism, all other religions and cultures are supposed to believe as they do - each group is "chosen" to do different things. in christianity, there is a belief that they are responsible for everyone's soul, and that those who do not believe as they do are separate from god.

Jews believe in the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob of the old testament, which they call the Torah. Christians believe the same, but they understand that Christ is the fulfillment of old testament prophecy. Christ is the new testament, a better word. You see Christ supersedes' the Law of Moses. Jews don't believe that, they are still waiting for Messiah to return.
That's my best shot at explaining it.

Um,.....Jesus and Mary and all the people you read about in the bible are Jewish,
The Old Testament is the Jewish Holy books, law books.
The Christians started with "Christ" aka Jesus, they tagged on his followers writings (New Testament) onto the Jewish holy books.
Jews believe what they have just as Jesus did for thousands of years.
Christians follow one Jew named Jesus, believe he was God, and follow the writings of his followers as well as the traditional holy books of the Jewish faith.

Messianic Jews are Jews who have read the prophesies of the Tonakh and agree, that yes indeed, Yeshua is indeed the prophesied Meshiach.

Jews have very few "beliefs." Judaism is all about action. No miracles are required in Judaism -- nothing changes if God really didn't part the Sea of Reeds. Judaism is about our obligations to God for what He has already done for us. When we pray to God we ask what He wants of us, not what He can do for us.
The goal of Judaism is to bring Peace on earth for all mankind. That is our obligation to God -- to work as partners with Him toward that goal! Personal salvation plays no part in Judaism. We have always been forgiven whenever asked. God is in search of Man -- all we have to do is to open our hearts to Him.
