Study the basics and keep studying a little extra. The more you know the basics, the more math you can do. Do extra chapter work before tests or if you're struggling. If your teacher doesn't teach, talk to a counselor.

Also: DON'T FORGET TO DO YOUR HOMEWORK!!!! And if you are a bad test-taker, talk to your teacher. Make sure to check your answers at the end of each test. It will take awhile, but it will save you from MANY simple mistakes. Finally, if you don't have enough time to finish tests, see if you can finish after school.

You can get tutoring, or study while you're in the computer at www.algebra.com. It's a really good site and give you step by step instructions on how to solve a problem. Also try to get on the teacher's good side and ask for extra credit. Good luck!

I would ask for extra credit and if you are taking Pre-Ap then you get 5 quality points.
