Is bittorent safe as its the same as p2p but you can use it via browsers like opera so there are no settings that you can change so can it send out files without you knowing?

Do you mean safe as in virus free? If so, then I think it is generally safer than most other p2p systems. There's always a risk with p2p though, however with torrents you go through a tracker site instead of directly transferring files to or from your computer. Most trackers are good about screening out fake torrents and viruses.

i wouldn't think so opera is a web browser not a torrent client it handels torrent downloads but i don't think it'll upload and seed them but i could be wrong and yes bittorrent is safe i personally use utorrent pretty fast and comes already configured
