Everytime I tune in, the mega ($100mil+) lotto winner is always from some backwater area even though they sell tickets all over the big cities. Where is the "random" aspect of that?

Because there are alot more small towns than big towns.

because since they dont live in a big city all they have to look forward to is their weekly lottery tickets. which they probably buy 12 of :] haha.
