I am going to completely disagree with the answer above. There are only 6 or 7 chocolate manufacturers in Switzerland and I am only aware of ONE that allows observation of their facility - that is Maestrani Choclate Factory in Falwil, Swizterland. They do not offer a tour but you can observe the manufacturing porcess from a skywalk over the facility. The famous Lindt chocolate factory does not allow tours of any kind. All the chocolate factories visited had a "company store" where you can buy discount chocolate. Lindt used to only be open one day a week, but I think they are open more frequently now.

There are several chocolate factories in switzerland. Most let you take a tour of the factories. Some even let you make a piece of chocolate yourself. and almost all I've been to had chocolate fondue fountain.
The swiss specialize in milk chocolates. where the Belgians and germans are specialize in dark chocolates.
