I am planning my wedding this july and i really want calla lilies as the flower, but i heard that they go dorman shortly after easter. My wedding is July 7th, will i be able to get Calla Lilies.

I know i'm running kinda late on this, but i've been engaged for 6 months now and we finally decided on a flower, i'd hate to think we have to rethink it all.

Check out that link. It has a list of flowers that are available for every month, and according to that list Calla Lilies are available in July. :)

It should not be a problem. With everything being grown in hothouses now, you can get almost any flower any time of year. Also, you can always go the silk flower route and they do make some realistic callas these days.

I'm in Western Canada and ran into trouble with this. Had wanted callas too, my invites had callas on them, so did the napkins. However, my florist told me she couldn't guarantee them - and there was no way I was going that route. I wanted to make sure I had something I had chosen. Look at the books again....

I don't know if you have thought about silk flowers or not, but Hobby Lobby has silk calla lilies that look real. My best friend was married last June and she used them. Everyone that comes in our house smells mine...which are in a cute little vase... because they look that real. They were very inexpensive too... plus you don't have to worry about them dying! Good luck and best wishes.

I had a friend that had calla littlies as he flowers in a Jul;y wedding. If they are out of season they may be a little more expensive but you should be able to get them. Talk to your florist.

Calla lillies are great and come in beautiful summer/fall/winter colors.

talk to your florist. they are your best resource since they will know what is in season and what is not. they may even be able to have some shipped, but that can get really pricey.
