Female engaged, male w/ his girlfriend. The guy has been telling the girl about how annoyed he's been w/ his girlfriend, and how sometimes he wants to be single, but other times the single life seems boring to him. Do you think this is just a heart-to-heart, or is he hitting on his engaged co-worker?

(She's my friend. She says they're just chatting, I say it's more...)

A beansprout is jsut sitting there and then some water falls - and up springs a plant. Thats how close those 2 are to making music. Right now, he is hitting on her and just waiting for the right word, the raised eyebrow, the glance, a drink invitation to be accepted. She thinks she is just chatting but that bean could sprout at any moment.

Hey, its human life! No need for you to do anything other than relax, observe, smile, support and be nice.

It's a heart-to-heart talk. There's nothing to indicate that he's hitting on her, especially if he knows she's engaged. If he says something about if only he could find a girl like (your friend), or wishes his girlfriend could be more like her, then that might tip it over into flirtation.

Yeah ignore master richard if she is getting married and some loser from work hits on her its your job to help your friends. I think he is making a point that he does not enjoy his girlfriend to her is a issue. If he just says it out of no where and makes a big issue out of it id be careful.

He is just chatting.

Why is it a guy can't talk to a girl without her thinking he is hitting on her? Are women that self-centered?

depends on the interaction. words are words. its all in the body language and how he acts towards her. she shouldnt really care if she loves her fiance and if he does like her, he will realize she is happy the way she is (if hes a good guy)
