Nope, I took the walk to "From This Moment" by Shania Twain. Just be yourself, an if that's what makes you happy, more power to you!

Congratulations!

Some churches don't allow secular music, so if you're marrying in a church, check with your officiant on their rules. Many times "Here Comes The Bride" is the only secular song they'll allow. If you can though, it sounds like it would be a nice song to walk down the aisle to. Good luck!

Not at all, I think it's a beautiful song. I went down the isle to "Staralfur" by sigur ros. My friends still talk about how perfect it was... plus I still get teary eyed when I hear the song. I thing the "Here Comes the Bride" is too common to evoke that same feeling.

It is your day and your choice but it isn't the most melodious of songs and doesn't have the best beat to follow down the aisle.

I chose the song from the Princess Bride as my wedding dance a million years ago and it was greeted by my guests as a funeral dirge.

Just a note:If you are marrying in a church you might want to check and see if you are allowed to walk to something other than a religious song. Some churches dont allow non-secular music and I just dont want you to get your hopes up to walk to this song in case they get dashed. Be sure to check.

Of course if you arent marrying in a church, disregard this message!

Good luck!
