If it is the service engine light it means the car needs servicing. Get "er done! If it is the check engine light, that has to do with emissions. Check the gas cap to see if its on properly. If the light does not turn off after a couple of days get it scanned it may be a sensor.

Is this the check engine light?? or service engine soon light??
The check light will need an OBD2 devise to reset the computer. You can try to disconnect the neg battery clamp for a minute. This will sometimes reset the computer also.

yes you do need the code reader that one of the auto parts store has. one of them here will read it for you for nothing. I can allready tell you what the problem is. your running low on bank one and two. I just keep turning mine off right now. But I don't think you turn it off with the egnition switch.

Need code reader. O.B.D.II cannot be shut off otherwise, Unless problem is fixed, and a pre-determined on-off cycles are performed

You need a code reader or use a dealer ship, a coder reader is cheaper. you can purchase one for about $72.00 and you will always have it at hand.
