This girl at work is a freshman, and im a sophmore, we go to differrent schools. i asked her to my school dance and she said okay but at the last minute said no because she didnt relize her dance was the same night. i gave her a rose and told her i liked her and would like to get to know her better. She said yah and that she really was looking forward to the dance but wanted to go to hers, Do not know why she didnt invite me to hers but whatever. this was three weeks ago. This weekend a girl my friend from school, said her grandparents asked about me. I guess the girl from works mom workes for her grandparents and asked what i was like. My friend from school said i was really nice. i found out they asked my friends mom and she said that i was trustworthy and would trust me to go anywhere with my friend from school. The girl from work is really quite and doent talk much to me unless i say something first. does the person from work like me or not and what does her shyness mean?

well hon her shyness could be because your pushing things too fast for her or it could mean that she likes you but is too afraid to show it because shes not ready for a real relationship yet.... maybe she just needs time to realize that she can trust you and once she gets to know you things will probably go alot smoother... and the fact that her parents asked about you can be a really good sign it means she has talked about you to other people... just give her some time to come out of her shell

I would say that she does like you, but maybe she likes you so much that she can't think of what to say to you or something like that. I've been that way even though I consider myself to be an outgoing person or it could be that she just never had a boyfriend and doesn't know how to respond to you when you tell her stuff like that. I think that you should ask her out on a real date and then if she goes, see how your date goes and take it from there. Good luck!

You know, some girls are just shy by nature!
In other words dont take it personally..
She probably does like you, but might be too shy to show it.
Keep making the first move, and eventually she'll warm up to you.

It depends on a personality. Some people - girls or boys - are painfully shy while others are not.
I suppose you just have to take it easy with a shy person, let them get to know you, allow them to relax around you and they'll open up eventually.

Well if i were her i would be intimidated too!
Like common you are kinda coming on too strong. But that's not a bad thing. She maybe likes you but is shy. I sometimes get shy around guys i like even though i'm usually very outgoing.

Girls can be very shy around new people they have met...but aroubnd their friends they're CRAZY. Just give it some time and maybe she just wanted to go the dance to hang with her girls.

I don't know how she feels, but I am usually shy around guys that I like. It's one of those weird thing i don't understand. I think you should strike up more conversations with her.
