it's called "diet" for a reason, it only has one calorie per serving (usually) so in the "calorie" respect it's much better than regular pop.
now for the bad part....pop, no matter what kind or type, still contains sugar, whether real or artificial can cause weight gain...if you consume enough of it!
Most likely, only having one a day won't cause you to gain any weight, and if you are making healthy drinking choices for the rest of the day (lowfat milk, water) you should be fine!!
One final thought, and this is strictly my own personal opinion for what it's worth: don't deprive yourself of everything you love and want...it will only make you miserable in the long run! You only live once, might as well actually ENJOY it...be happy with yourself and don't obsess over the small stuff :)

the ingredients used in diet coke are actually more fattening than the ones on regular coke. I wouldn't worry about it, especially if you are counting calories and exercising. The only people who have to worry about gaining wait are people who frequently have cokes and have little to no exercise each day and eat other unhealthy foods.
so, don't worry about it. =]

Fat makes us Fat. Zero calories means no calories added. We must burn more than what we eat in order to lose weight. To gain weight, would be caused by an increase of calories w/ out burning them off, as in the form of cardio activity (exercise).

Yes you will but on a slower pace than regular soda even though it has less sugar and carbs it does have more sodium which pretty much makes you gain weight so just don't don't drink soda at all is what i recommend

The diet coke, taken on a regular basis, will upset your mineral balance and cost you in other ways later. Try water, and flavor it with something if you have to.

Soda pop has no redeeming qualities unless you're mixing it with Jack Daniels...and it had better be Coke! Not that diet crap either!
