When a person is alive, you enjoy their company but have the mindset that you can always see that person again tomorrow, next week, next month, or next year. It doesnt usually snap to people that there may be no tomorrow, next week, month, or year. When a person is actually gone, most people go into regret, "why couldnt i have spent more time with him.her?" "I wish i could have said my last goodbye" When people pass away it snaps to the mind, i will never see him/her again, then the memories set in, "we would never be able to do that again" you think of the pass and miss the memories. Im sorry that he (whomever that may be) passed away, i think everyone has been through what you are going through now.

best wishes...
