A leave-on conditioner is meant usually only for keeping your hair healthy and fighting damage. A serum, while it helps prevent damage is meant more for styling. A serum is usually Semi-greasy and is a good product if you straighten your hair alot, it tackles frizz like no other product. A goos mix between leave on conditioner and hair serum would be like "hask shine spray" Its like a spray-able serum.

A leave in conditioner can nourish your hair the same way a moisturizer nourishes your face. And it is especially important if you are in the sun on a regular basis (be sure to look for one containing sunscreen).

A serum is for smoother, glossier hair when blow-drying straight or to reactivate curls when drying naturally. It instantly transforms the appearance of frizzy, coarse, processed hair. It produces smoother, glossier hair when blow-drying straight, activates curls when drying naturally and promotes longer hair by helping reduce breakage. It also repels moisture which helps prevent hair from frizzing in damp weather and contains sunscreen.

A leave in condioner gives your hair more moisture, while serums can do much more. There are different types of serums you leave in. One that I put in is Garnier Fructic Sleek and Shine. So what im getting at is leave in condioner is just a "leave in conditoner" but different serums can do different things
