When are you going to wake up and realize you have no idea what you are talking about. I watch both Pride and the UFC plus numerous other orgs as well. Just because a few people you know dont watch both doesnt mean everyone is that way. I watch any MMA event I can whether it be on PPV, DVD, or a live event in person. Also, you need to realize that age is not a factor with a fighter as skilled as Randy, even though he was put to sleep by the lght heavyweight champion he is also a different fighter then he was at that point. Weight class doesnt matter all the time, I have seen 300 pound guys beat likerag dolls by 170 pounders. There are many many MMA fan who support all orgs not just Pride and UFC, realize it!

Pride crossovers kill in UFC, which is why Pride is a better organization overall. Just look at Anderson Silva--takes the title in two fights. The rules are much tougher, and there isn't any room to run in the ring, whereas there's plenty of room to run in the octagon. That's why Chuck Lidell has so much success backing away and throwing bombs. He got dominated on multiple occassions in Pride because he couldn't use that strategy. Pride allows kicks and knees to the head on the ground and fights aren't stopped from cuts by elbow, so one must continue taking blows without any chance of quick victory from cut by elbow. Pride is going to be overrun by UFC, though. UFC has greater popularity in the United States and Pride is fast losing sponsership and some of its best fighters (A. Silva, Q. Jackson, M. Crocrop, etc.), which means we'll being seeing morePride fighters in UFC and less Pride in general. Pride rules are still killer though, and I'm sad to see it start to fail.

Many fans are not familiar with Pride FC...I really can't stand hearing comments like, "Pride is better than UFC," or "Pride has the better fighters." and vise versa. They both have their share of great fighters, and it sounds rather ignorant when people make such comments...I support all of MMA and most organizations but don't care for others like IFL (their team fighting is such a stupid idea). There are a few good fighters in other orgs but Pride and UFC has them all however it's only a matter of time until we see the greater Pride fighters in the UFC. Pride has financial trouble and is selling the organization...that's why many are coming to the UFC...Rampage, Cro Cop (big loss for Pride), Herring! Dana White has already stated he's gonna get Fedor...once that happens...Pride only fans will be quite devastated and turn to UFC! Oh and that whole Couture thing...he be Sylvia cause Sylvia fights like a *****...he lost to Liddell cause he is unstoppable right now !

By the way you seem to be contradictory of yourself...you about supporting fighters and not orgs with your comments like, "Afraid to try a superior product?" It seems you favor Pride FC! HYPOCRITE! It's only a matter of time...Fedor, Wanderlei, Henderson, Shogun, Arona...they'll be in the UFC pretty soon!

Because one they don't want to here that woman screaming all night. And 2 after paying $49.95 for UFC who can afford to pay another $40 to watc PRIDE. Also pride doesn't always show title fights and most North American Fans don't know 9 out of tem of the fighters in PRIDE. And if it is the best why are they all coming to UFC to fight. Sorry but when you let Butter Bean and pro wrestlers fight. You lose alot of respect from the MMA community.

Oh and buddy it's Liddell and the UFC brought Silva to the event to anounce the fight not the fighters themselfs and as for the fight not happening I won't get into that cause it would be to much for you to understand seeing as you still think the way you do about it. And to my buddy above me Joseph B ( becareful people he might not like you answer and email you to cry about it...) You support both but yet you ilegaly download the events on your computer. Are you sure it isn't a way to save money and it is really that mommy and daddy won't let you rent them...

uhm... that's news to me. I watch it all, the UFC, Pride, K1, heck I even watch the Bodog fights.
As for whose the best... well I've seen guys who were in the UFC go over to Pride and loose, but I've also seen guys who were Pride fighters not do so well in the UFC.
It's virtually impossible to say who is the best until they face one another, and prefereably it would be the best two out of three. And even then ability changes with age, knowledge of the art, and training. When Chuck Liddell first fought Jeremy Horn, Horn beat him, but the second time they fought Chuck wrecked his ***.
I do prefer the UFC over the others however. Some of that is due to the fact that the UFC is American owned, some of it is due to the nostalgia I have of watching it when it first came out and seeing Royce Gracie go 30+ minutes against Dan Severn, and Oleg Taktaroff fighting Shamrock for nearly that long. some of it is because like someone said above me, Pride is a bit herky jerky at times, some of it (actually a large part of it) is becuase a lot of the UFC fighters support the troops, and some of it is simply because I like the octagon.

I order some PrideFC events because they are harder to find on bittorrent downloading sites than UFC and I dont order all the UFCs either only one with great fight cards I wont buy UFC 69 I'll download it free the next day but I will order UFC 70 because that card is stacked. didnt get shockwave but I got Pride 33 and boy am I glad I did. The UFC pisses me off because I pay $40 for a payperview and have to watch movie comercials and endless marketing when they could fit in more prelim fights then they charge $2 each for prelim fights. In Pride 33 I got to see all 9 fights, that is a seller to me because I got what I paid for.

You know... I'm so fvckin tired of this SH!T. I watch PRIDE and UFC. I like em both PERSONALLY... I PREFER UFC.

Pride is so stop and go. They get to be like fvcking ******* when someone gets cut. They constantly stop the fight bring it back to center. UFC puts them in a cage and lets them FIGHT. PRIDE fighters all stall in the guard/clinch BIG TIME. This is because they can't elbow in the face, making the guard a more stagnant position.

I DO support the fighters, I have no loyalty to an organization other than my memory of good shows passed.

As for the BETTER FIGHTERS.... let's see it. You got no business ranking fighters who haven't fought each others and CERTAINLY you haven't fought yourself.

You haven't to be a fvcking retard if you think that all Pride's fighters are better than UFC's. And even between champs, you are SADLY mistaken.

I used to order PRIDE as well as UFC... Actually I probably ordered more PRIDE cards than UFC's... But I finally got tired of the circus freak matches. PRIDE can put on some of the best cards ever but they throw in too many sideshow matches for my taste. In their defence Japanese fans love to see those types of fights so I can understand why, but I just can't stand it.

I like both.

but some people have that 'us vs them' mentality in everything they do.

fords vs holdens
league vs union
spit vs swallow

you cant just assume that all UFC supporters exclude Pride.

your initial comment shows me that you are one of these "mine is better than yours" types, and so you are guilty of the crime you believe others are committing.

he who lives in glass houses shouldnt throw stones...

EDIT: kobrajesus, will you stop this infatuation with me via email. I get it, you dont agree with me here, so what is causing you to email me? everyone believes they are justified in their answers, for better or worse, right or wrong. seriously, if you keep emailing me I will be certain of your gayness. I am straight, with kids. stop crying over one reply on the internet. is your life that worthless? I believe I am right about you, because you are hurting really badly. if I was wrong, you shouldnt care, but you seem to care way more than what is healthy. can you spell infatuation?
