I'm getting married on 29th September this year but I cannot start looking until the end of June as I am currently pregnant, and cannot push my budget. I would love an A-line style, and/or full skirt with or without straps, possibly with some crystal effect decoration on the bodice. I do not want a slim fitting dress, fishtail, straightor too fancy dress. A detatchable chapel length train would be nice but this is not an important detail. I need a floor length dress as I do not like the idea of a shorter one.
Any help gratefully recieved!!!

my budget is £200 as that is all i can afford, I've looked at bhs/debenhams/asda/m&s and cannot find anything i like - the A line skirt needs to be full but not over the top and i cannot have a two piece.
thanks for answers so far

It seems like you have a decent amount of time to research - which is going to be the key in your case as you have something specific in mind and also a budget to adhere to. A lot of people have suggested Ebay and I think thats a good starting place, but then you have the problem of not beign able to 'try before you buy' (and if you don't like it/or it doesnt fit you can end up having blown your budget or having to pay more for costly alterations). I suggest another tactic which is charity shops and second hand clothing shops. Oxfam (would you beleive it!) actually has a bridal department! See the link here for stores that stock wedding dresses - some of them are BRAND NEW so you could really bag yourself a bargain. I would suggest if you don't find a dress the first time you should tell the store manager what you are looking for and leave your details so that they can call you when more stock appears that would be suitable for you. Heres the link:
http://www.oxfam.org.uk/shop/highstreet/bridal.htm
High street is your other option within your budget: BHS has already been mentioned and does have a good range. Debenhams also have a lot; the Oxford St branch has a bridal department and even if you get your dress from ebay/other then these two stores would be a good place to get the veil/accesories from. You don't say where you live but I would imagine that there is a local newspaper/buyer-seller pages where you can scan for 2nd hand wedding sales and obviously go see before you buy. One piece of advice, make sure that if you buy a second hand dress that it is already dry cleaned. Cleaning can cost around £100 (most dry cleaners charge a lot because its a specialist job) so you don't want to spend half your budget on that! Hope you find what you are looking for, I am sure you will! Good luck for the wedding - enjoy!

Hiya,
I've just bought my wedding dress from an ebay shop called The bridal shop by Lucy Jane. Type in wedding dress, then select 'see all matching shops' in the 'shop ebay stores 'category on the left hand side of screen. The dresses are beautiful and I bought mine for £125. They are so nice, my sister has bought one aswell!!
Congrats and hope everything goes well xx

They have some GORGEOUS gowns from David's Bridal. They are amazing! If you want, you can enter to win a free gown: http://davidsbridal.com/bridalcollection.jsp , also, right now, they are having a $99 sale, so you may want to check that out! Here is their homepage: http://davidsbridal.com/index.jsp . As soon as you look at their homepage, you will see that they have beautiful, floor-length dresses that are strapless and not strapless. Good luck with your wedding!

All of the preceding answers are good however, have you thought about renting one? or perhaps borrowing a friends dress? Does it have to be white? there are very good sales in TK Max where you may get something for as little as 70 pounds. What about buying the material and getting it made to the design you want. much cheaper than buying.
Good luck in June.
