to have tattoos and do wicca?

NT and OT call believers to have nothing to do with a number of things, including 'witchcraft' - so yes, wiccan practices are detrimental.

Tattoos? You can argue this either way. Is it sin? I don't think so. I don't think it's being a good steward of our bodies though.

Tattoos? Search me... some Christians might find it "bad" because tattoos hint at being counterculture, but I'm not familiar with any Bible verses that would prohibit them.

Wicca? Wicca is not "evil" -- we do not worship the Devil as so many Christians seem to believe -- but you can't be Wiccan and Christian at the same time. The two religions just don't mesh.

If it's witchcraft you're referring to (Wicca and witchcraft are NOT the same thing)... well, witchcraft is a technique of causing change in the universe by using one's will, usually through sympathetic correspondances. It could conceivably be used by a Christian, and some people do claim to do so.

Hope this helps.

I have seven tattoos. So, no I don't think it is wrong. Wicca is another religion. Just like I don't think you can be Hindu and Christian, you can't really be Wiccan and Christian. It's meshing two belief systems and you end up stealing a bit from both of them and forming a NEW eclectic belief system that is neither Christianity or Wicca. Now, if you are referring to just doing witchcraft, that is something that God speaks against. And yes, there are verses that say that you shouldn't "mark your body." It was done in the midst of pagan ritutals. My tattoos are not pagan worship. lol

Witchcraft is real, and God never said that it didn't have power. However, it's something he did say you shouldn't mess with because he is the ultimate power. He is the one you should be relying on.

Like I said before, if you mesh two religions, you come up with a new one. If that is what you WANT to do, that is totally up to you. But, you are making a new religion. Just food for thought.

Yes, the bible is very clear about both of those issues, in the book of Leviticus chapter 19, verse 28 it says-
Do not cut your bodies for the dead, or put tattoo marks on yourselves. I am the Lord.
As for Wicca, come on, that is a completely different religion, having nothing to do with Jesus, and practising magic is, definitely a sin.
P.S. green witch, at the bottom there, is incorrect, the only writing on skin in chapter 16, of revelation" The seven bowls of gods wrath", is the mark of the beast, which
I can assure you Jesus does not have.

Wicca is a religion. It's not coin collecting. It's not a hobby.

As for tattoos, Jesus had a tattoo, that's good enough for me.

Should I Get a Tattoo?
http://watchtower.org/library/g/2003/9/22a/article_01.htm

That^ was written for those thinking of getting one.
It gives the Scriptures that show how God feels about them.
However, you already have some, & they are difficult & expensive to remove, possibly leaving scars in their place/s. So, perhaps you could wear clothing that covers them? Or find some kind of makeup to hide any others that clothing won't cover? There are some very light-weight & breathable fabrics to wear in hot weather, now!

Most every religion interacts with the spiriual realm in one way or another... We know that some spirits are good and some spirits are bad.....We also know from most all religions that there is one who governs all things in the spiritual realm. (God)

In Christianity, we have a relation of trust with the "Holy Spirit". Though this, some of us are given disernment. This disernment allows us to tell good spirits from Bad.

Wicca, though you are interacting with the other realm, is not in contact with the "Holy Spirit" (God) therefore you run the risk of encountering bad spirits. This would affect your life negatively, allowing such feeling of pride, lust for money, and other things to rule you life. Jesus came to bring us the "abundant life" charactorized by Love, Joy, Peace, Patence, Self control, Kindness, Gentleness, etc. This is what it truly means to be christian. Hope this helps!

Tatoo's are other thing all together. If you have Tatoo's and love God, it's all good. (see romans 14 in the new testiments you'll get the idea).

I do not see tattoos that bad as Wicca. God says to put trust in Him alone. He knows our hearts.

I don't think tattoos are bad but maybe wicca is unacceptable.

Yes it is bad.

Leviticus 19:28 (New International Version)

" 'Do not cut your bodies for the dead or put tattoo marks on yourselves. I am the LORD.

Galatians 5:19-21 (New International Version)

The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God
