You need to read the book, "10 stupid things Women do to Mess up their Lives" by Dr. Laura. I'm not saying you are being stupid, but she has some really good practical advice about life, and love and decision making. Saying that you just have this feeling is about the least practical reason I could ever come up with for making a decision. It's very close up there to "but I love him" when women give reasons why they stay with a cheater, abuser, a total jerk. Just because you have a feeling doesn't mean you have to act on it, and just because you chose to walk away, doesn't make you a bad person. We can't all go out there and save the world. Please, read the book.

Well, he sounds like he mest up bad in his life, but since he is taking counceling, he does sound like the kind of guy that wants to change, so unless he went to jail for doing something really bad, I wouldnt see too much of a problem

Yeah, there's really no need to hold out for better, right? I mean, if that's the level you feel comfortable operating on, then there's someone for everyone, right? That's what makes the world go round, settling.

my boyfriend used to be a drug addict, been in jail once (only for a week)...and he is the best man alive. he has been clean for 4 years now, stay outs of trouble, goes to college, has a nice decent job to pay for college, family oriented, and treats me like a princess. just tell him to prove to your family that he has changed and he will take care of you.
and the kid part, they...and you... will just have to accept it. you can't help who you love..and if your family doesnt approve then they don't love you.

What did he do time for? How long ago was it? Is he still involved in that kind of activity? Important questions. He deserves a chance if he has shown that he has changed.

people can change...id follow ur heart on this one and forget about what everyone else thinks. if its not meant to be then it wont happen...if it is..then its great. the only thing that really matters is what you think and how you feel. good luck.
