as far as walking the streets at night or during the day. are there allot of muggings?

it's a big city. so you know what is there. just be aware of your surroundings, don't carry around alot of cash, and don't look like an victim. as i've told other's make it seem like you will give any low life hell if they tangle with you.

I dont know what the heck the guy above me is talking about. Ive lived here for years, and yes Hollywood has its fairshare of homeless and weirdos, its not a scary place. You just have to be smart about where you go. I assume you are from out of town so for the most part you wont venture of of the hollywood touristy spots. If you stay within those areas, and dont walk down a dark alley you'll be just fine.

At night it is best not to walk alone if you are a stranger since you may wander into the wrong areas.
There are a lot of transients, illegal immigrants, drug dealers, prostitutes and pimps so if you feel safe amongst those, suit yourself. I drive through there with locked doors and rolled up windows, day or night.
During the day the main thoroughfare is OK because there are many onlookers.
I have lived within twenty minutes from there and have not been there for ten years! I give it a wide berth
