right click on my computer go to properties and it should be right there or search windows OS in help and support.

Well there are 3 ways to do so:

1. Right click on "My computer" - properties

2. Start - run - dxdiag a dialog will popup with the info you need.

3. Run the computer in safe mode at the top of the screen you'll get ur windows version

Right-click on the My Computer icon on your desktop and select Properties, it'll tell you at the top what version of Windows you're running. Although, quite frankly, the fact that you don't even know already is pretty shocking.

Start / Run & type : winver.
And in case you need to know your computer :
start/ programs/ accessories/ system tools/
And click on :system Information
