My educated guesses are: 1) older people have more money than younger ones 2) older people need thrills that don't require any effort on their part, 40) there are more older people, 50) you must be over a certain age to buy a lottery ticket, and last and least, It is a cruel joke played by lady luck since they don't have long to live. So wish this old fart good luck! If I win I will include you in my will, sunny boy!

What age do you consider old? If you look at the percentage of people who buy tickets (and quantity), I would think the 20-30 year old range is a small percentage of the group. Since the lottery is based solely on luck, statistics would dictate that the age group that you consider to be old must account for the purchase of 90% of the tickets.

YEs what is up with that? You would think that the Law of Averages would work this out, but it is usually some old folks winning.
