We all have the choice as to what we want to look like only if your a womanly shape into today's society you consider over weight but by who, media, fashion guru's Victoria Beckham and all the A list celebrities.
We all have the choice be an individual and be happy with what ever shape you are, or follow the trend does it bring happiness does it increase the friends you have, give you a pay rise, open doors to a better job, make your partner appreciate you more, make life easier.
Then to play the devils advocate why do we feel so uptight about Anorexia which will achieve your size zero goal.Maybe we should not let this worry us these people know the havoc it will cause to your body.
In my mind you can follow the sheep knowing your health will suffer and in the knowledge you can die or you can live with what you are,the time we have on this earth is short why shorten it more.
I apologise if this offends people it is not meant just my views.
My body issues have been around but as I got older it was easy to accept my shape I will never be skinny but have never suffered finding a partner through my shape,a woman's body with a bum boobs and hips to add to that I watch my diet go to the gym and then let my shape do the rest long live the shape of Marlyn Monroe.

I hear that some clothing stores are planning to lower the scale even further, to 'appease' their customers and this country's obsession with thinness - making what is now a size 5 for instance, a size zero. What would a now size zero be - a -5?! WTF??!!
Hey, I wouldn't mind getting my a** in better shape, healthwise and as in toned but the days of being a zero, having my hip bones stick out so that it literally hurt to lie on my sides - been there, done that. It's sickening. I'm so over it.

I think it is getting out of hand. I have just been watching the documentary that Louise Rednapp did on going from a UK size 8 to a size 4 (or US size 0) in 30 days. Her diet and exercise regime was supervised and she still felt drained, irritable and really ill. It is no wonder that girls now feel under so much pressure to be skinny. Every magazine you pick up is going on about who is losing or putting on weight.
I am a UK size 10-12 and like most women I have parts of my body that ideally I'd like to change but I could never go to those lengths. I think women look better with a few curves. If you are naturally slim and a size 0 fine, but I don't think I'd want to suffer for it.

I have a friend who is a size zero. I personally think she looks sick. Her neck bones and her ribs poke out. She really should put on some pounds because it looks unhealthy. But in turn she is healthy and she likes how she looks, that's why she doesn't gain weight. However it may be different for different people. Two people may be a size 8 but one person may weigh 10 pounds more. Just depends on the person. I know this...never do anything for anyone but yourself. If you are happy with the way you look, no matter what size then it shouldn't matter what anyone else thinks. It's mind over matter...if you don't mind it shouldn't matter. I am a size 14 and I am comfortable with that size and my weight. Although I do eat healthy to avoid gaining extra weight. Good luck to you :-)

I do feel it is getting out of hand size 0 is a ridiculous target to set, the documentry last night that Louise Redknapp did was a good advert for not being a size 0 but it was also a brilliant how to achieve a size 0 in 30days advert for all those girls out there who look at it from another point of view and are victims of the pressure.

Yep, I do think it's getting out of hand. Feel despair when I see size 6 clothes in Tesco. Why do men want women that look like boys??!! Surely what women want for themselves is more important.
I did once lose a scary amount of weight and it did NOT feel good. Have lost some in a sensible way over the last 4 months and now I feel great and can still enjoy my food healthily and wear clothes that make me look and (more importantly) FEEL good.

Anyone who thought it was a good idea to diet down to a size 0 should watch the programme thats just been on ITV, Louise Rednapp did just that in 30 days, she looked dreadful when she finished, no energy, no personality and all to fit into a dress thats really the size of a child!! She did it to show how dangerous the dieting lifestyle can be, I just hope that people saw it for that and didn't think that they way she did would work for them!

Did you just see that programme about size zero on TV? If that doesn't put anyone off I don't know what will.
I have probably been a size zero when I was very depressed and stopped eating.... I looked like a bag of bones and my stomach, rather than sticking out, actually looked caved in.
I'm better now and a healthier weight and glad.
