I wouldn't know how many calories it would take but consider this;
Food
What to eat when it's -40°F out? Food is an important consideration for an expedition to the north pole. The constant activity, coupled with the bodies desire to stay warm will mean consuming approx. 7,000 calories a day. Compared to a typical 2,500 calorie diet for a male, the high-calorie intake comes at a price - increased weight.

Not quite: Your body has to work to generate the heat to bring the water to a temperature where it can be used. Even though it may not seem like much, look at the math. Everyone knows it takes one calorie to raise 1 gram of water 1 degree Celsius. So, with 27 grams in an ounce, if you drink a 24 ounce bottle of water at say 5 degrees celsius, and your body has to heat it up to 37 degress celsius (98.6 F). 27x24=648 grams of water. 648 grams x 32 degrees = 20736 calories required.

Unfortunately those it takes 1000 of those calories to equal 1 "food" Calorie (which is actually a kilocalorie). But that means drinking a 24 oz bottle of water will burn 20 calories. Do that 5 times a day, and in addition to satisfying your thirst, and making you less hungry, you'll burn 100 calories!

Eehhh, not really. While it does take a few calories to warm the water up to your body temp, this is offset by the body not having to expend energy in cooling the body down. Just by doing the temperature and heat parts of what you are asking, it would probably take more than 2 liters of ice cold water to burn that 100 Calories. And that is if your body actually burned the net calories to power the heating.

sort of. it rehydrates your body, and gives you energy. your body no longer is in dehydration mode-- and is ready to burn calories.

A cup of ice water alone is not a diet-trick, it's just the way the body works when it's hydrated
