1) Rocky Marciano
2) Joe Louis
3) Sugar Ray Robinson (Light-Heavyweight)
4) Cassius Clay
5) Larry Holmes
6) George Foreman
7) Jack Dempsey
8) Lennox Lewis
9) Mike Tyson
10) Gerry Cooney

(NB - your list should include Joe Frazier instead of Sugar Ray Robinson, who was never really a heavyweight. This ranking is therefore more like the best boxers ever - and therefore, I would eliminate Cooney, move all fighters from 4/5/6/ to 9 down a place and insert Fraizer at 4/5/6.)

Bluedevil and others have pointed out that Sugar Ray whichever one was not a heavyweight. As for the rest of them I will rank them in this manner. Muhammad Ali, Joe Louis, and Rocky Marciano are all equal as far as I'm concerned. They were the best. So I guess I'm starting at number 4.

4. Dempsey
5. Foreman
6. Holmes
7. Lennox Lewis
8. Mike Tyson
9. Gerry Cooney

Your not the first person to do this on the boxing forum but Joe Louis's last name is not spelled Lewis. Muhammad Ali has not been Cassius Clay in over 40 years.

2. Joe Louis
3. Muhammad Ali
4. George Foreman
5. Larry Holmes
6. Jack Dempsey
7. Lennox Lewis
