Your body will go into starvation mode, which is a self defense mechanism that will slow your metabolism so you can survive longer. In the beginning, you will loose superficial weight, but will gain it as soon as you start eating again.
However, if you continue to not eat, your hair will fall out, your skin will dull, you will become anorexic and will look like hell.
Wanna look good and loose weight? Eat small meals several times a day, no empty calories (junk food with no nutrients, only sugar and calories), and no soda! Walk for 30 mins a day and try to get into a muscle toning routine.
But first: see your doctor for a weight loss program that is healthy and to make sure that you are healthy enough to start a exercise program.
Good luck and remember: it is a journey, not a destination!!!!

ok starving yourself isnt healthy to begin with but if you go this route and then once you lose all this weight the first chance you get to eat real food your going to binge 1 of 2 things can happen. You have the worst problems with your stomache and cause some unhealthy problems or you can gain all your weight back and then some. I suggest exercise and cut back on eating take out.

okay if you do starve yourself, eventually you will lose weight. but it will be all muscle. i know this because two summers ago i had gone on my own made up 'diet' where i had too few calories. i got down to the weight i wanted, but from then on i was constantly worried to eat anything because my weight fluctuate so easily. i started exercising and noticed i gained about seven pound (which left me unhappy) and i eventually realized that it was because i gained muscle. but also, i was unable to keep the starvation up and i ended up gaining all the weight back. then i decided to lose weight the healthy (longer) way and it has stayed off.whoo :). so anyways, starving your self with only work for as long as you can stand constantly being hungry and tired.

as you eat you store good fat cells and bad fat cells. when you eat properly you are giving the good fat cells power. whn you don't exercise and starve you self this gives the bad fat cells more diminon. the bad fat cells will continue to feed them selves. ex: as you starve yourself you will loose weight. after a while your gonna wanna binge a little because your body will be lacking nutrition and we tend to crave something were lacking. after binging that's where the bad fat cells come back. you pick up even more weight then you first was trying to get rid of. and these bad fat cells don't go anywhere they are there for the keeping. until you do it all over again each time your body will progress even more bad fat cells. and then agin you will be repeating the process again and agian

You'll lose weight, nutrients, and muscle mass. It's not a healthy way to lose weight. Tempting, perhaps, as it will be the fastest way to lose weight, but you'll gain it back almost immediately when you start eating again, and your body will actually be ill.

Oh yea! You can't gain weight when your body is deteriorating in a coffin.
Starving yourself isn't going to help anything...you just need to excercise and burn off more calories than you eat in the day.

I've lost 5 kilos in my first week. It's my 10th day and I have included salad with some protein (eg. egg/ lean chicken) as you suggested. After 4 years of trying, the fat is finally coming off. It truly feels like magic!
Get started today!

You will shock your body into thinking it's never going to get another meal, so that when it does - it stores it on your thighs for later use.
Worst way to "lose weight". Run around the block instead - exercise is the best way.

Starving yourself will only lead to deterioration to your bones and muscles, to have a healthy weight, you need to exercise 30m at least 4 times a week. and eat healthy foods, no fast food/ junk food. and looots of water

You might lose weight, but when you started to eat again you'd gain a lot more back.
