The Bible warns about people showing up and declaring themselves "Christ". So... I doubt Christians would take anyone seriously if they announced it.

Good question aparently some people are very gullible look how many followed manson , koresh, jones and many people dont read the Bible for themselves or rely on their priest minister ect to tell them what it says and thats bad you have to read and know for yourself after all it is your life if they are wrong are they going to die for you ? or ar we responsible for our own actions or lack thereof for example the "Antichrist " is not a person but " Antichrist means any one against Christ or instead of Christ . The Term also applies to all who denies what the Bible says about Jesus Christ , all who oppose his Kingdom and all who mistreat his followers it also includes individuals , organizations and nations that falsely claim to represent Christ or that improperly ascribe to themselves the role of Messiah " see also 1st John 4:3 1st John 2:18 ,19 1st John 2:22 Ps 2:2 Matt 24:24 hope this helps best wishes Gorbalizer

I wouldn't believe anyone who said they were Christ. Jesus warned us that many false Christs will arise and mislead many and not to follow them. He also said about His return that it will be as the lightening flashes in the sky. As far as Antichrist goes, I don't believe he will be manifested as a particular man, I believe he IS man, unsaved man. Paul and John said that the spirit of Antichrist was at work among them back then. The beast in Rev. isn't the antichrist.

I do not believe it would be the nature of the Antichrist to openly declare himself. And Christ- well, when He comes again, it will not be as a mortal man, the way He came the first time. It will be quite clear who He is. So I would not believe any man or woman claiming to be either of those persons.

Nope- we will know Christ when he comes. If the person has to "claim to be..." then theyare a fake. Christ doesn't have to claim anythign. He IS.
the antichrist can be in anything. As long as I stay away from the bad stuff and remain focused on God it shouldn't be a problem. Besides it is written that the antichrist is the one who will be claiming to be Jesus.

It will be obvious who is the actual Christ and Antichrist when the time comes.

The antichrist is not going to show up wearing a name tag saying: "Hello, my name is Antichrist". There are certain credentials shown in the Bible which will identify him when the time comes. As for someone saying they are Christ, I doubt we will mistake them for the One who is going to return in glory and turn the world on it's end.

I would take the 2nd coming of Christ seriously, and the scriptures require doubters to test the coming Christ. The problem that I have is that I believe in the rapture, so I wont be on this earth the have to believe or not.

The Bible says that when Christ returns we will ALL know and bow before HIM. The Antichrist will be more difficult. We have to be alert and know the signs that are predicted in the Bible and compare to know. I sadly don't know enough about the topic to know if the antichrist is here yet...*epiphany*

The anti Christ isn't going to tell us who he is, so nobody and nobody saying he's the Christ either because Jesus isn't going to come back some random human being again.
