No if a complete hysterectomy has been done. If only a tubal ligation has been done then yes. With a tubal the tubes have only been tied and the hormones from the ovaries are still active. It is rare for a cat to only have a tubal because the behavior they exhibit is similiar to a cat that has not been spayed.

No! They still may have times when their hormones are settling down when they act like they are in heat, but this is usually very short lived.
Once an animal is "fixed" they no longer have reproductive organs, therefore cannot go into heat again.

No. "Heat" is defined by the secretion of blood & fluids like menstration and the scent released by the animals to attract mates. Once a spay is performed the organs are removed and therefore the animal can no longer produce eggs, the fluids or homone secretions to breed.

Yes, i had a fixed cat and it used to disappear for a couple days every so often. Until that time it first disappeared was when a friend informed me they still do that thing.......bettyk.

no, it can't, a cat goes into heat because she's able to have kittens, if she's fixed she can't have kittens and her body isn't producing any eggs so she can't possibly go into heat.
