Is my boyfriend cheating?

My boyfriend of 3 years says he loves me and would do anything for me. Using his computer, he has tons of saved searches (they come up when you type in the letter D for example) for online dating, eHarmony, local singles and more. I don't see him ever having time to see anyone but me. I don't understand what he is doing? I doubt he is cheating, but what is with these searches??

Are these old searches? I know that if you ever subscribe to one of those places you continue to have emailed "matches" and stuff sent to your email address. If this is old, maybe it's from before he met you. If it's recent, then perhaps he's looking for a date for a friend.

On the other hand, the fact that you're asking this question makes me think he's done something that makes you slightly suspicious. First of all, ask him. See his response. Does he give some elaborate explanation that seems far fetched? Not look you in the eyes or stare directly in your eyes as if challenging you to question him? Give you a short, pert answer and act indignant and hurt and shocked that you asked in the first place? All of these are signs of someone who is hiding something.

Ok, the same thing happened to me about a couple of months ago. When I asked him about it, he denied it—said he was looking at a friend's profile. To test him, I put my "profile" up and tried chatting with him, and he responded, not knowing it was me. I confronted him. He lied and lied and lied; everytime I would reveal that I had more information and he would admit only to what I said I knew. (At first, I said I knew he was looking, he said just for a friend, but never emailed anyone. Then I told him I was a person he emailed, and he admitted to emailing but swore he never went out with anyone from the site).

I still don't know if he ever actually dated anyone from the website, but trust me, just asking him doesn't mean you will get a straight answer. I am still with him, because I couldn't "prove" that he actually had any physical contact with anyone; at least that's how I rationalized it (perhaps a mistake... he cheated on his ex-wife, so I know he's capable of it). Maybe I need some advice too!

Well computers can save searches from a long time ago, so it could be long ago, or from a friend of his using it. Also computers do suggest things that havnt been searched sometimes-so try not to jump to conclusions. I suggest you do your own detective work, you will start to notice little things if he is cheating! But try not to let him find out until your sure, as if your wrong your lack of trust may break you apart!

Maybe he's looking for you on the sights, to see if YOUR cheating on HIM. or he might be cheating. ask him about it
