it seems to me religions pretty unnescessary im open to the idea that god may have had a hand in creation and if he ever shows up ill thank him. but if god thinks im gonna worship him cause he did one thing billions of years back he needs to get a life.

Religion is Man's attempt to clarify the Will of God.
You may have a nice belief in God, but without religious beliefs you can't do anything with that belief. Does your God want you to tell others about him? If so, how do you know? Does he talk to you? If so, how do you know it is God and not a chemical imbalance?
Religion is set up by Mankind to make sense of the theory of God and tell others what each group thinks he wants them to do. Without religion, there would be millions of chaotic theists running around killing each other. Religion keeps that Million mark down into the tens of thousands.

well dear it's like this... God is well...God He doesn't have to think about it He knows your heart better then even you do. He knows what your gonna do before you do it, what your gonna say before you say, you get the point. if any one needs to get a life it is you. God doesn't need to get a life... hahahaha...he has a never ending life already.....hahahaha. if you remember God in front of one man...He will remember you in front of one man. If you remember Him in front of many men He will remember you in front of many men. If you forget Him, consider yourself forgotten by Allah. He isn't going to beg you to thank Him. and for a stupid Q u will get a stupid A "what has religion got to do with god? ok DUH! religion is ABOUT a god. if there were no god there would be no religion. we'd be robots all believing the same thing, or i got it! we'd still be monkeys. and if that was the case why are the monkeys that we know of today still monkeys! Because we came from God. God choose you, it's obvious who you've choosen.

Agreed. The world would be better off if people would accept the literal words of Jesus to "go pray in a closet". Somehow, they can accept all the nonsense in the bible as literally true but a clear command from Jesus they choose to consider as a allegory that really meant "go build big churches and pray in them".
