Now that the hype has died down, and people in america have had a chance to drive one for an extended period of time, what do you think about your yaris? have you been in an accident? how did it hold up? have you had any problems? do you have abs? was it a great car for the money you spent?

i plan on buying one soon and i wanted some feedback from actual owners. thanks

i've done my own research. i just want personal preference now. i've read just about everything there is on this car. pros and cons. i want an opinion, not a link. and versas are not as great as one thinks. niether are fits. read that stuff again. then remember that the yaris is huge in europe, thus being the reason thay brought it over here.

For more specific details on the Yaris check this site out: http://www.smartmoney.com/autos/newcars/index.cfm?story=december2006 The Yaris lost with 2 stars. The Honda fit won with 3.5 stars, Chevy Aveo sedan was second with 3 stars, and Nissan Versa third with 2.5 stars. The Yaris is a cheaply built car, especially the hatchback.

My buddy became into those days in contact in a totaling twist of fate on her 2007 Yaris. She hit a telephone pole on the front suited corner, spun, and hit something else in back. The roof had to be decrease off to eliminate the passengers. not one of the airbags went off. The twist of fate became into end results of the undesirable traction interior the rain, the motor vehicle's very low weight, and Toyota's oversight on protection good factors. She wasn't dashing or impaired. I drove it for some hours sooner or later on a visit and became into overjoyed to come back into my own motor vehicle afterwards. Passing human beings on the line became right into a considerable project. Going from 60 to something above that meant pulling each and every final ounce of ability from the engine. I very almost felt undesirable to empty it so stressful. At 80 5 it became into screaming for existence. It tapped out around ninety. this is a real city motor vehicle and should not be seen for somebody who does greater suitable than city and suburban using.

Why anyone would buy any Toyota is beyond me. Didn't these people attack pearl harbor or some thing, or is that a fiction. Oh that's right, lets make their protectionist economy strong and lay our people off!
