I commit at least 5 sins a day, I've been alive for roughly 6500 days, so that means I've committed at least 32,500 sins over the course of my life. Is it safe to say that I'm gonna die soon?

For all of you out there that said confessions........
So all I have to do is confess that I've sinned and it'll be all better? That's a little easy don't you think? It's like a free ticket to heaven, just admitting you were wrong.

Not if you repent today.

well FYI you actually commit more than 5 sins a day. Lucky you that God is not a despot hiding behind the corner to see when you messed up and whack you! Jesus died for your sins. You can be safe if you can accept that. In spite of how many will you commit from now on. When you commit a sin, it's likely just that, but when you commit the same sin over and over, we're talking about a way of life. And that my friend is what differenciates goats from sheep.
The Bible says that who lives in sin cannot see God. And also says that God sent His son to die for our sins so we can be forgiven and get to see Him. Now, whether you applied the sacrifica of Jesus to your life or not is entirely your personal affair. God is not stupid, He looks at the heart. You either have Jesus or you don't. The ball is in your court now.

No.You have only committed as many as most Christians. You need to commit a hundred sins a day for the next 50 years before you need to worry.Make sure they are the right sins. You know, the ones the fundamentalists pick and choose are the ones they adhere to and judge others on.Be a gay abortion clinic doctor who blasphemes and lives out of wedlock having lots of passionate sex with strangers.

How many sins can you avoid before he says it is time for heaven?

In reality, all men are on their way to hell....no matter how many sins you commit because all have been born in sin..

That's why we need Jesus as Savior....He paid the price that we could not pay....we could never be good enough to deserve heaven....so Jesus did it on our behalf and we get heaven as a free gift....

Keep taking his mercy for granted, and it will catch up with you.

IT IS A FREE TICKET TO HEAVEN. THAT'S THE POINT!

God gave his only son as a sacrifice for your sins once and for all. He paid your ticket. You can either accept his free ticket (repent) or go to hell. It's your choice.

Haven't you ever given something to someone (charity) even though they didn't earn it? Why did you ? compassion? Love? Same thing on a bigger scale.

Want to go to hell??? Ok, you could have stopped at that lie you told when you were a teenager. God does not let ANY sin - no matter how small into heaven..

But yeah, if you want to keep insulting your father - the one who gave the ultimate sacrifice to you, if you want to add to your psychological scars - keep going.
But be warned: The further you go, the hotter it gets!

This is the age of grace...no one will be struck dead by God for sinning. We all die anyway as a consequence for sin. God rendered out punishment already on Jesus Christ....now we just pay for the consequences of sin. Having messed up lives.

"Our Lord said to Pilate (John 19:11): 'He that hath delivered me to thee, hath the greater sin,' and yet it is evident that Pilate was guilty of some sin. Therefore one sin is greater than another.
Therefore it matters much to the gravity of a sin whether one departs more or less from the rectitude of reason: and accordingly we must say that sins are not all equal.
To commit sin is unlawful on account of some inordinateness therein: wherefore those which contain a greater inordinateness are more unlawful, and consequently graver sins." - St. Thomas Aquinas ("Summa Theologica" 13th century A.D.)

How should we know when you're going to die? If you only average five sins a day, you must be better than you think. I do much worse than that, and I'm still breathing.

'Sin' is a human concept, not a governing reality of the universe, as some believe it to be. If God is great then he must be a being of logic, so to assume that he decides what is 'good' or 'bad' without examing individual circumstances is completely blasphemous.

Better question: where did you get the idea that there is a set number of sins someone can commit before they die?
