The truth of the matter is in life, most things are not under our control. We can control how we behave, our reactions etc...but most everything else is not under our control. The sooner you learn to go with the flow, the sooner you'll let go of the 'control' issue. Don't get me wrong, there are a lot of things you can do to influence people and situations towards your liking, but try to do it in positive ways and know when to sit back and let it go. Talk to yourself about why exactly in that particular instance you feel so upset that things didn't go as planned. Sometimes knowing why helps to cope with the feelings.

If it's something you can't control, then you would just have to learn to move on. It might take time, but since you have no control over it, there's not much more that you can do.

You said it yourself. Admit you have no control over the situation and keep reminding yourself you have no control over it. The more you obsess the less control. Let the truth unfold and remove your will from the picture.

There are some things that can guide you. You can practise being flexible of mind. That helps enormously if anything out of your control happens. If you try to expect it, that things never go the way you want them to... then it will become easier.

if its something you have no control over than there's nothing you can do about it but to deal with it, let it take its course.
