Out of the two, Navy. Something like a Marine Blue would be a little happier at least, or something like Burgundy.

Well navy blue (true navy blue) is difficult to differentiate from black. The dresses will appear to be black and will definitely look black in the pictures. Are you really thinking of navy, or just a very dark blue? If you like dark blue, try indigo or royal blue. I like the idea of blue for a very formal or evening wedding.

If it is a day time wedding, you might want to go with a nice green to complement the season. I too, am not a fan of olive, bc you need just the right skin color to pull it off. Most people just end up looking very sallow. I second Hunter Green or maybe a nice Sage or Celadon.

Most important is that YOU like it and that it will compliment Bridesmaid's skin color and look good in the pictures. Good luck!

I love the idea of olive green! The funny thing is that this morning as I put on my olive green shirt I thought what a nice color it would be for bridesmaid dresses.

My sister-in-law (soon to be) just did navy at her wedding and it was beautiful--she did a late October wedding and it is a great fall color.

You may also want to consider a bronzy color or like a burnt orange (not bright orange) which is also a nice fall color.

But, I'm rooting for the olive green!

Both colors are beautiful, but you should ask your bridesmaids which they would prefer. Navy looks good on just about everyone, but olive green might not look good on some skin tones. When I put it on, I look like a big olive-not flattering at all.
Best wishes to you!

Ohh olive green and a brown would be beautiful for that time of year. Either that or an olive green and a light blue!

Hi im fussy with colours, Im getting married this July this year and I was going to have an all ivory wedding as i couldnt decided on the colours to have as nowadays they dont do many pastel shades there almost flouresenct now and it just put me off, also they are sometimes too dark. I perticulary wouldnt choose those colours myself as even though I love to wear them and oon photoes they look lovely. As my cousin had navy for her summer wedding and the photos where gorgeous. Im sure you will have gone trough loads of colours before your wedding day. But by all means go with either, as it all depends on the style of the dresses as well some colours go well in a certain style of dress, but until you know what syle of dresses you are going to have you cant really pick the colour. For example a few months ago I didnt know what colour bridesmaid dresses I was going to have. When we went with the bridemaids to try the dress on I we all saw what was a flowergirl dress with sequins on and a net bottom, one was in pink and the other a turquoise colour, I didnt like them at all and everyone was like there lovely. I was like no way. But when we went in and saw the dress in white it looked liked a different dress, and as my dress is ivory when she brought the Ivory dress down in that design it was beaufiful and sets everything off. We triied all colours on but it was always coming back to the other sequin dress. If you cant decide and you dont want to bring out the colour as it will look to much together then put the colour in the waste coates ties and cravats on the men and page boys. This is what we are doing the men are having gold. and the rest is in ivory. You have got to remeber also when you are decoration the venue they will ask you your theme colour and this will be the colour of you bridesmaid dresses. But go with what you feel best in and dont change you mind to many times as you will find it even harder to decide

Olive Green! But also a Rustic Orange, Red, Gold, or a Rustic Pink would be really pretty for that time of the year! I hope this helps! Good Luck :)

How about lime green and white with some yellow accents? I love gardenias! They smell wonderful. Hydrangeas some in beautiful lavender/blue/green shaded colors, and you can also get them in a lime green. You should sit down with the florist you have chosen and have them show you samples and discuss what will be in season. They will probably have good ideas that you may not see in photos of pre-made arrangements.

I would pick Navy blue in September because Sapphire is September's stone. And it also depends on what kinda of wedding you wanted elegant, modern, etc.
