There's this guy i know. And i like him alot but i'm not sure if he really likes me back. The reason i think he does is, that he's always telling me that i'm beautiful and hot. He told me that if he dated me than he'd treat me right. Yesterday he told me that it'd be easy for me to get a guy because i'm beautiful and smart, and he said he wants to hangout with me more. The reasons i dont believe he likes me is because he told me that he really likes this girl that he thinks is really hot. and hopes to date her sometime. He also spent valentines day with her. I'm not too sure if he likes me. What do u think? i hope this didnt confuse you.

He didnt tell me he was spending v-day with someone. i found out from someone else. lol than later on that day he told me that he really liked her and hoped to date her.

Maybe he does, but he's afraid to ask you. The girl he may have mentioned may even be non-existent but just made up by him to feel better about himself so he wouldn't feel bad, as he probably thought you had a Valentine's Day date or so. Why don't you ask him directly, and try going on a date with him? Sometimes guys like it if the girl makes the first move, not all guys are upfront, overconfident, and brave. And even if he says no, he'll respect you more that you had the guts as a girl to ask him, and may even go out with you later on. However, If he plays hard to get or plays games with you, then most likely he was just messing with you or is unsure of who he really wants. Just play it by ear for now. Hope that helps.

The person he means when he says he really like someone alot and hopes to date them is you. He means you. And the girl he spent Valentine's Day was probably his friend or some girl from his old school that he hasn't seen for a long time.
I think you should ask him out; and you guys should definately hang out more.

why dont u find out from him. hang out a bit more wit him and giv him obvious hints dat u like him. he obviously likes u at least as a friend, why not make it more than just friends. if he really like the other girl that much, then he probly should trynna spend time wit her than be tellin u that ur beautiful. the next time if he says if he dated u, he would treat u right, ask him out and tell him 2 show u how he gon treat u right.

Haha, it sounds like he's saying that stuff about the girl because he was talking about YOU! How did he say it? Was it like:
"There's this girl and I really like her. I think she's smart and beautiful and great and I really wanted to spend V-Day with her..."
If it was, he was probably talking about YOU!
Guys do that to me all the time.

He may like many girls. You can like more than one person. I think he does like you. But you can put him to the test, by going out with him hanging around him for a while to see if he really really likes you if he does not dump him and your curiosity is over Good Luck!

Wow what's up with that? Sounds like a player to me. I hate when guys are flirty and telling me all these great things, then it turns out he isn't interested in me the way I thought. I would totally withdraw from him and see if he comes to me...if he does, then...there ya go.

yes he likes you! maybe he's too shy to actually say 'i like you, we should go out sometime', but he's trying! he may have said that he likes that other girl just because hes trying to make you jealous so you'll make the first move! good luck and if you like him a lot, do something. ask him to hang out, go to the movies or something. as far as i can tell, he likes you. good luck!

It sounds like he just thinks of you as a friend, or at least he feels intimadated somehow and is trying to make you jealous. I don't know what you should do about it besides move on, though.

I'm sorrry, it sounds to me like he's only interested in you as a friend. There's a difference between liking someone and being attracted to them. He could be attracted to you, just not in lust.
Hope things get better.
Or, he could like you, however, he could think you don't like him... so he jus gives up.
