That is too far of an age gap. Your friemd is almost a legal adult, and the girl he is dating is just barely a preeteen.

Think of it this way...in a year, he will be 18. He can already drive, he will be able to vote, he will be able to join the military and go to war if he chooses. He will be considered an adult. What will he want with a 14 year old girlfriend then? 4 years is NOTHING when both parties are of legal age, but during the teen years, 4 years can be a HUGE difference.
That being said, if the parents don't care, who are we to judge.

There is nothing wrong with that. Like at all. And if nothing else the factor that they won't be having sex before their 18 should settle your worries. If they know what they've gotten themselves into and their parents dont' have a problem what's wrong with it? I'm 15 and i dated a 19 year old? It's the same age difference and no i'm not christian. We did not have sex and it never caused a problem with us. I see no reason why the two of them can't be together and be happy. Leave them be. It's not your decision to make.

Well, from an outsider's perspective, it just seems wrong. What does a 17 year old have anything to do with a 13 year old? Nothing. Now, you're his buddy, just tell it to him straight, exactly how you feel about it. Is his relationship with this girl affecting your friendship? Can you fix it? But in the end, it's not your choice, it's theirs. Plus they have parental approval so there isn't much you can do.

I think that really is too much age difference at this point in their lives, but if the parents of the girl are fine with it, then there must not be much of a problem. But you know, I have seen very many PG-13 movies with sex in them. Yikes!

Okay really it's not any of your concern. If the parents are okay with their friendship/relationship I really can't see why this has anything to do with you..... It sounds to me like you might be jealous.

just because she is young doesn't mean that she is mentally immature. they may be on the same page with each other.
