There are enough obstacles to marriage just in the simple fact that people have differing personalities, idiosyncrasies, ways of doing things, habits, communication styles, lifestyles, views on certain topics etc. Why complicate marriage further by marrying someone who believes so vastly different from yourself? Being a Christian is very important to Christians, as is the freedom to worship and talk about God the way we want to. When we marry someone who doesn't share our Christian beliefs, we are opening ourselves up to hurt, quarreling, misunderstandings, intolerance etc. That's not what God intended in a marriage. If a Christian wants to marry a non-believer and has the idea that they can "win them to Christ", then that is delusional thinking. Becoming a Christian is a personal decision, and not everyone who hears about Christ will accept Him. When you marry, you have to be willing to accept the other person for who they are currently - not for who you hope they will someday be.

God simply said in His Word, not to be "unequally yoked". He didn't give a lot of explanation, but the yoke was referring to oxen, and if 2 oxen were unequally yoked together, they could cause one another to stumble. Makes sense to me.

Obviously not.

It is also forbidden:
2 Corinthians 6:14-18 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

In the case of an antichrist, they are not to be even welcomed into your house or even wished "God speed" which means "May God be with you" (actually the word is more like "Hail!"):
2 John 1:7-11 For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist. Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have worked, but that we receive a full reward. Whoever transgresses, and stays not in the doctrine of Christ, has not God. He that stays in the doctrine of Christ, he has both the Father and the Son. If there come any to you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: For he that bids him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.

While we are at it, you might not want to mix matter and anti-matter either.

Why not? If it does not work out, the believer does have the right of divorce -- it is referred to as the Pauline priviledge. It was Paul himself in his letter to the Corinthians who stated that the unbelieving spouse is sanctified by the believing spouse.

From 1 Corinthians 7:12-15: "If any brother has a wife who is not a believer and she is willing to live with him, he must not divorce her. 13And if a woman has a husband who is not a believer and he is willing to live with her, she must not divorce him. 14For the unbelieving husband has been sanctified through his wife, and the unbelieving wife has been sanctified through her believing husband. Otherwise your children would be unclean, but as it is, they are holy.

15But if the unbeliever leaves, let him do so. A believing man or woman is not bound in such circumstances".

Yes. Antichrist is a bit of an exxageration. Some believe Hitler was the Antichrist. Would anyone in their sane mind marry him?

We should have the right to marry whomever we want to.

No, you should not. While the differences do not seem like much right now when you are both trying to be the nicest that you can to each other, that will rapidly change after you get married. A wise man once said, "Keep you eyes wide open before marriage then keep them shut tight after marriage." The thing is that differences tend to become much more pronounced after you get married. More than likely, one of you will have to give in to the other on this subject.

Stranger pairings have been known to flourish. That's not to say that there won't be problems, but no marriage is without its challenges. If the two enjoy a healthy mutual respect, they will find a way to make it work.

The "unequally yoked" doctrine is one of the most gutless in the Bible.

A person who doesn't believe in Christ isn't an antichrist!
And sure, why not? Lots of people with different religions marry, just keep religion out of your relationship.

No, you may settle for Him because of the fact the Son of God, which means he's God in flesh. seem at this passage: Luke 23:forty-forty 3 however the different, answering, rebuked him, saying, "Do you no longer even concern God, seeing you're below an analogous condemnation? John 5:18 states: 18For this reason the Jews tried each and all of the harder to kill him; no longer in user-friendly terms grew to become into he breaking the Sabbath, yet he grew to become into even calling God his very own Father, making himself equivalent with God. that is sparkling that the early followers of Christ believed that Christ grew to become into God in flesh or on the least in some why shape or sort one hundred% equivalent with God. whether you seem at Christ being nailed on a go. This grew to become right into a curse to Jewish human beings and that they have been to grant their existence for yet another Jew - yet yet they needless to say gave Him over - Why? because of the fact it grew to become into lawful to convict to death on the go individual who claimed to be God. this is why that they had no concern with it. Even Peter's Church , which we nevertheless understand the region has imprinted on the partitions the worshipof Christ as God or Diety. So no, you are able to not settle for Christ without relatively accepting who he's, and that's God in flesh. we live in an age the place we've not any concern re-defining christianity and what it means to be christian, yet neither the way nor the Diety of Christ has replaced. and that's in spite of denomination nor age.
