Actually, many philosophers will support you. Berkely will even assert that nothing you're not aware of exists, and Descartes will go so far as to say that only YOU exist.

If I knew this was actually a serious question, rather than a joke directed at us atheists, I would get into philosophical theories about existentialism and the limitations of our perception of the phenomenal world. The fact is, you really can't prove anything exists except yourself, and the only "reality" that exists for you is limited to what you can perceive and process.

Generally, however, if you're going to follow your argument, it can only be said that each person creates their own reality. If Bob believes in God and Jesus, then God and Jesus exist in Bob-world. If Susan doesn't know that nematodes exist, then nematodes don't exist in Susan-world, but they will come into existence when she picks up the right textbook. If you don't believe in atheist, they don't exist in you-world-- but be careful, because the CONCEPT still exists. I don't believe in unicorns, but in my-world, the idea of a horse with a horn certainly exists. This is another issue in philosophy dealing with the ability of the human mind to make up things that aren't real.

I will leave you with this one last thing to contemplate: If you have read this answer, then it must have come from someone, but if that person is an atheist, then how can the answer possibly exist???

Atheists do exist, I am not an atheist but I have know some and know some. My school counselor is an atheist and a very good man. I think some atheists will get saved by my God before some Christians, and some Jews, and some Islamics, and some Pagans, et al others because deep down some are good people while thoough some believe and have a form of faith in God, they are deep down evil and need to learn more lessons.
Myself, I am The AnteChrist, Beast, I live in Hemet CA and am well enough known, seach google for my name, I AM THE BEAST SSSOTLOHIEFMJN and go to the wikipedia result that yeilds where you can see all 7 branches of it, I am a Christian/Pagan/HeMet/HeBrew and dont care if I am saved or damned as long as my God is my friend and companion.

By crude definition an atheist is a person who not only doesn't believe in any faith, but is also strongly opposed to them as well. Depending on the individuals conviction they may hate or even attack believers of other faith. However; today's normal atheist is usually a person who refuses to believe in god(s) with little in common with the real definition. It's just a label that hasn't been developed enough to describe all those lacking faith. Most people simply believe it to mean that the person has no beliefs in a higher power of the traditional kind, or any.

Oh yes - they do and you find most of them out here on the religion and spirituality boards.

Odd, isn't it, to find an unbeliever spending so much time trying to convince everyone that their faith is a fraud? Let me put it this way - I don't believe in leprochauns or fairies, but you don't see me building blogs or webpages trying to discredit them.

Atheists do protest too much - it's because they're fighting against the truth that God has deposited within their own hearts.
But they don't recognize that very often, do they.

Just because you do not believe in them does no mean they do not exist. Look at how many people claim to be atheists on this board. But wait.....they can't exist because you don't believe in them.

I don't think so, i think that the atheist is just a method to do something, for example, in the french revolution they used this method to separated themself from God to kill the King of France, because in the old times they think that God choose the Kng, so they have to believe that God don't exits to pretend that they didn't sin for murderer the King.is like you said that the Sun doesn't exist and you see it every morning in the ligth of the Day.

Hello. Oh yes atheists do exist. Thank God I am not one, but I've come across those who are. The thing about being an atheist is that whether they believe it or not, God IS and He is reigning... and at their life's end they'll meet Him and bow their knee to confess that Jesus is Lord to the glory of God the Father. God is real, absolute, and His spirit is everywhere on this terrestrial ball we call earth. So whether atheist or agnostic, God is real and will judge all people. How's that?

That is a pretty limiting way of observing the universe, but if it works for you then go for it.

Whatever you believe is true is true. Whatever you believe is a lie is a lie. There are no absolutes. You create EVERYTHING in your universe and are FULLY RESPONSIBLE for those choices.

Well maybe to you they don't, but since I am one and I know many others then they must, or maybe if you read that they did exist in some holy book you would believe it.
