Layered hair is very popular these days. My hair always used to be cut straight. I have very thick hair.
I went to Vidal Sasson where I was asked if I wanted my hair layered or not. I risked it and must say that it looks really good.
Layered hair means having your hair cut in a particular fashion where the top layers of your hair is shorter and lighter than the rest of your hair underneath, creating movement in the hair.
I think it's best to ask the hairdresser what style would suit you as different styles suit different people.
If you do get your hair layered and your hair is fizzy, I suggest you use straightening irons which has always worked for me.
I hope this helps!

Layered hair is very flattering, particularly if your hair is straight. I have slightly curly hair so prefer my layers to be no higher than the bottom of my ears, otherwise they end up springing up and I find them impossible to control Guess it depends on how much time and effort you put into your appearance, if you have the time to maintain them and they are cut properly I think they look really feminine and stylish and take years off, as opposed to a blunt cut.

If it is cut right your layers should blend and not see the layers from the back. Get on the internet and look up layered cuts.

i think of it seems ok for short to medium hair, yet no longer for long hair. I used to have a sprint layering yet I have been given rid of them while my hair have been given truly long. Layered long hair is quite gross if the hair gets truly skinny in direction of the backside...eww

I had long straight hair all the one length and getting it layered was the worst thing that i've done! It was meant to give it 'body' but it no longer is straight - looks all frizzy and doesn't sit right. I wish it was the one length again.

With layered hair, you can do alot more with it. Curl it, scrunch it, pull it up and have some nice strands dangling. I believe its worth it. Your hair will always grow back.
