"pimp" is a guy who owns prostitutes and takes there money once the prositute is done sleeping with a guy for money, they find a pimp because he usually promises a home and food. He usually beats them and doesn't treat them well either.

A pimp is a guy tha sells sex to people. he has his "hoes" or hookers, and people call him up, ask for sex, and then he pays one of his hookers to go have sex with the guy. The guy pays them, and the pimp pays the hookers.
