Why are guys so obsesses with sex?

Well, "obsession" is a relative term. But there are four main reasons that I can think of that men may be more interested in sex.

1) Men typically have a much higher level testosterone. This usually, but not always, correlates roughly with an increased sex drive.

2)The hormone "Oxytocin." Among other things, oxytocin causes pleasant feelings of "trust", "bonding", "closeness", and "security."

In women, touching, talking, "cuddling", and even eye contact, causes oxytocin to be released by the brain. But men's brains typically produce less oxytocin during these type of activities, so they are less meaningful for them. Men usually experience a huge surge of oxytocin during sex, while women women usually produce somewhat less. For many men, sex is the most powerful and meaningful bonding feeling they are likely to experience.

It should be noted that men and women experience similar levels of the hormone "Dopamine" during sex, which is responsible for feelings of pleasure, so men and women typically enjoy sex the same amount, but just in slightly different ways.

3) The cultural stereotype is, that men are "supposed to be" interested in sex more than women are, or they are "supposed to be" more assertive or open about it. So men may feel more comfortable about expressing their interest in sex.

4) This reason lies in Darwinian Evolution.Statistically, Humans are not very fertile. In modern humans, less than 1 in 400 sex acts results in childbirth, so the more a man is able to have sex, the more likely he is to have children and pass on his genes. Genetically, it *may* be in a man's best interest to have sex as much as is reasonably possible. However the same reasoning also works for women, so in reality women are probably almost as interested in sex as men. But for women, having children carries much more *risks* than it does for men, so it is in her best interest to be much more selective about whom she has sex with.

It is also true that for a man, caring for his children also makes them more likely to survive and have more children, provided he knows that they are actually his children. So being in a committed relationship and "monopolising" his partner is also in his best interest.

Guys arent the only ones obsesed with sex. Its just that most often the yare used to the idea of guys being obsesed and talk freely about that.

if every (or most) guys are like that it's not an anomaly or a coincidence. there's obviously some factor (whether it be genetics or society) that plays a role in determing libido.

perhaps you can say 'obsessed' in comparison to female counterparts. however, if it's something that most males have then it's likely it's something they can't help, you can't criminalize someone for something they can't help.

umm... i don't know why, but i guess it comes naturally. but we also obsessed with sports. lol but i really don't know why we think about sex a lot
