Does it mean, "I live in a laminated box"? Have I spelt any of it wrong?

How do you pronounce it?

It is a colloquialism which indicates that the person who is talking lives in very comfortable accommodation and enjoys favourable conditions living there. The English equivalent would be "I live in a luxurious pad" or "My digs are really cushy" and "I am well off living there".
When in France I have met many students who use that kind of (slang) terminology amongst themselves.

(“Une boîte” does not only mean “a box”, it also means “a dwelling” in common parlance and is also used for "a nightclub" and even "a boarding / a prep school".
“lamé” is an adjective which describes something that has been enhanced with gold or silver, not just a shiny material.)

Pronunciation: ja-bit don uune bo-wat lamy

I would translate it as "I live inside a fabric box". Not sure what is meant to mean.

Boite is spelt incorrectly if you meant box. It should be spelt boîte

Pronunciation would be somewhere along lines of
"Ja beat donsune bwah lamay"

If you were able to add any context or other sentences from the same paragraph, that often helps with translation.

Good luck

Yes it means 'I live in a laminated box' (Habiter actually means 'dwell', Vivre means 'live'). You spelt it right. And you'd pronounce it:

- J'abeet dawns une bwatt la may.

Well if it is french you just said : I live in one limps spangled.
If you are trying for "I live in a laminated box" : Je vis dans une boîte stratifiée.

Though I am french and consequently speak french fluently, I must confess that I don't understand what it means... Maybe you spelt it wrong? Check "lamée" (it is the only word that I don't understand)...
