My daughter wants to change her baby son's last name, from father's name to her own last name. (My daughter and the father are NOT married.) They live in Oklahoma City. I'm hoping this change can be made without spending a small fortune on some lawyer.

"To do so you need to go to your local courthouse/City hall/records office. Ask, and people at the counters of such places can direct you where to go.
After that, you fill out the forms, and pay the fee, probably see a judge, and a short while later you are officially "x". Good luck."

I asked this question previously, cause i wanted to change my last name. hope it helps you. ")

I would assume that you can go to the court and inquire about how to go about doing it. However, why would she do that? He is the father, hope he's oaky with it.
