If the glass baking dish is in fact a baking dish, then it is oven-proof. You can cook at any temperature your oven will allow, except self-clean, and not harm the dish.

I know in home economics this is years ago we where told when a recipe called for 375 and we where putting it into a glass baking dish the we set the oven to 350 I believe that you run a higher risk of the glass breaking if you put it directly onto a cold surface when you bring it out of the oven it is safer to place on a wooden surface or on the top of the stove to cool.

You can cook up to your ovens maximum temperature in glass. I cook a thanksgiving turkey in a glass roasting pan @ 500 F.

No problems at all

I believe that most glass baking dishes are safe to use at temps up to 450 degrees. I can't imagine why you'd want to cook anything at a hotter temp than that.

As long as the dish is made to be put in the oven you should easily be able to go with your ovens max. temp (not that too many recipes calls for that) and I believe for most home ovens that would be 500 degree.

the highest i have cooked with my glass dish is 450 degress but i am sure you can go higher depending on how thick the glass is. i think thinner glass might shatter when it gets too hot but thicker glass can withstand higher temps.
