Well lets see 22 years ago they slapped that same label on me, and at times I think I still have those same issues because there are days when I CANNOT FOCUS!
I have found that it is important to me(I have my own little office cubicle) that I have my music playing, that keeps me focused on what I need to do. I have to have order, everything needs to be in its place. If your easily distracted, and have a hard time getting back on track, take something with you that you were doing before you got distracted to remind you.
AND finally remember, our brains process things a million times faster than our mouths will ever get them out, so the brain is already moving on to the next thing, while our mouth is still trying to get out something else out, so really ITS OK!

Do your homework by hand, so you are not on the computer, or do not hook up to the internet if you need to use the computer.
Make a schedule, use it.
Give yourself a time limit. Reward yourself, say......if you sucessfully complete your homework, you get an hour of TV, or social time.
Turn off your TV, radio, MP3/iPod (or other music device), cell phone, even the ringer on your home phone if you need to.
Do homework with someone else, so they can hel pyou stay on task.

First off, you can go in a room with nothing but air. (and your homework and a penicl and YOU!)
Secondly, if this is disrupting your life, talk to a doctor about it. If you get tested for ADD, and your are dianosed with it, they will give you some medisine for it.
And Most Importantly: PRAY! Th lord can do anything!

Have someone, an older sibling or parent, watch you. If they see you get distracted, they can stop you, and get you to focus again.
Or set up punishments. Like, if you get distracted, take a half-an-hour away from your TV time.
I have a friend who has severe ADD, and this helps her a lot.

Instead of going to yahoo answers, you could set a time limit for yourself, say 30 minutes to an hour for homework. Then, reward yourself for half your homework time. Like, if you do homework for an hour, go on yahoo answers for 30 minutes.
