always brags ? Everything she has is pretty much better than everyone else's . Her children are 'ANGLES'........trys to compete for the mother-in-laws attention......I could go on and on .
So I guess what I want to know is how do I put in my say , in a 'your not fooling anyone' way ?

Say what you feel and if she doesn't like it, too bad for her. or do what I do about the sis-in-law I don't like, make my complaints verbally and other family members tend to agree with me. Other than functions, I don't allow her at my house. At functions I make sure she doesn't go around my kids. And I've got my daughter calling her "evil aunt _ _ _ _ _ _ _ " `which my wife doesn't like but she still gets a kick out of.

I like the "REALLY" answer and follow up with words like..."WOW" or "AWESOME". Maybe she'll get the hint. I don't think you should put in your say. Your mother in law will appreciate your patience and tolerance. Just don't entertain her bragging, like the other girl said...just try to change the subject.

every time she brags just smile and say " really "
Then move on to the next subject without giving her the time she wants. Then keep repeating " really " when she butts in to tell you something else " amazing " that she, her kids or hudband have done.
Never ask a question- just say " really " like you would a child.

Just avoid her. Don't talk to her. When you are in the social gatherings for the family and when she starts to talk, just walk away. When you are invited to her house, try not to go there every time. She'll get a hint that you really don't care for her.

Instead of telling her "who give's a F$%k" about her kids or what she has, Just say, "isn't that nice". She'll get the hint real quick.

I wouldn't worry about it someone like that is so obvious,and pathic,everyone sees them for what they are,and are usually a big joke,just let her self distruct.
